Lewis Hamilton wins the Hungarian Grand Prix to keep alive his hopes of winning the Formula 1 world championship.

Lewis Hamilton produced a fine performance to win his second race of the season at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Hamilton started in pole position and drove seamlessly throughout, fending off a late charge from the Lotus of Kimi Raikkonen to get a crucial victory.

The dry conditions helped the McLaren driver to silence his critics and gave Hamilton his 19th career Grand Prix win.

Raikkonen and Roman Grosjean made it a Lotus double on the podium, finishing second and third respectively.

Grosjean was forced to work hard for his third place by Sebastian Vettel, who chased down the Frenchman right to the finish.

Jenson Button will be disappointed with sixth place, having been as high as third in the early going before an error in strategy halted his progress.

Hamilton moves up to forth place in the drivers' standings with 117 points, still in touch with the world championship leader Fernando Alonso.
