Sebastian Vettel believes that he can beat Nico Rosberg and come second in tomorrow's Monaco Grand Prix.
The German, who will start third on the grid, behind Lewis Hamilton on pole and Rosberg in second, admitted that he struggled to keep his tyres warm in the cool temperatures in qualifying.
However, he hopes that he has better pace tomorrow and can challenge the Mercedes pair ahead.
He told reporters: "I am generally happy with the result but it was a bit too cool for most people and we were struggling with warming up the tyres. It is a shame the sun was hiding behind the clouds but overall it was a good session and our aim now is to have a good race tomorrow and try to split the Mercedes."
Vettel's only win around the famous streets came in 2011.
