Toto Wolff eyes long stay for Nico Rosberg, Lewis Hamilton

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff reveals that he is planning to keep Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton together beyond the end of the latter's contract in 2015.

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has revealed that he would like to keep Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton at the team for as long as possible.

Rosberg signed a new contract extension earlier this year, but Hamilton's current deal expires in 2015, and Wolff is hopeful of continuing the success the pair have enjoyed this season for the foreseeable future.

"We have a contract with both of our drivers for 2015," the Austrian told reporters. "We want to continue with the current lineup because these two boys are part of the success of the team because they know each other so well and because they respect each other.

"I think if you get somebody else in that fight it could be detrimental to the team's performance. Our main priority is to continue with Lewis and Nico beyond 2015."

Hamilton is currently leading Rosberg by 17 points at the top of the World Championship standings.
