Mercedes' Nico Rosberg: 'Lewis Hamilton too aggressive, he took it too far'

Nico Rosberg hits out at his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton for being "too aggressive" in his US Grand Prix win, which gave the Brit a third world F1 title.

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg has hit out at teammate Lewis Hamilton by claiming that the three-time Formula 1 world champion was "too aggressive" at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.

Hamilton has snatched the title with three races left to go after winning the US Grand Prix on Sunday.

Rosberg was visibly unhappy with his teammate as he refused to shake his hand and did not take part in the champagne-spraying celebrations on the podium.

The 30-year-old started on pole in Austin, but Hamilton edged him wide of the track shortly after lights out, and after leading for the majority of the race, Rosberg lost his position with eight laps to go due to an unforced error.

"Lewis was too aggressive, he took it too far," Rosberg said in a press conference. "It was extremely aggressive. We hit each other, well, Lewis came into me, and that's not good, but I can't say any more than that."

Rosberg is third in the drivers' rankings.
