Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel has failed to make Q3 at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.

The four-time world champion ended the second qualifying session in 13th place, meaning that he misses the chance to fight for pole for the first time in 27 races.

Teammate Daniel Ricciardo was second-fastest in Q2, behind Mercedes star Nico Rosberg.

Fernando Alonso was third, but fellow Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen crashed out on the wet track.

Lewis Hamilton was fifth-fastest, while Jenson Button finished just outside of the top 10.

IN: Rosberg, Ricciardo, Alonso, Hamilton, Magnussen, Hulkenberg, Vergne, Bottas, Massa and Kvyat

OUT: Button, Raikkonen, Vettel, Sutil, Kobayashi and Perez
