Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia are once again paired together for the afternoon foursomes on the first day of this year's Ryder Cup.

Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia have once again been paired together for the afternoon foursomes at the Ryder Cup.

The duo, who have anchored for Europe in the opening session this morning, will take on the American pairing of Jimmy Walker and Rickie Fowler in the second period of play today.

Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson also remain together following their victory this morning, with Hunter Mahan and Zach Johnson providing the opposition this time around.

However, there is no place for the victorious American pairing of Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed, who beat Ian Poulter and Stephen Gallacher at Gleneagles this morning.

Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley once again anchor the USA team as they take on Victor Dubuisson and Graeme McDowell in the final match of the day.

Afternoon foursomes pairings in full:

Jamie Donaldson & Lee Westwood vs. Jim Furyk & Matt Kuchar

Justin Rose & Henrik Stenson vs. Hunter Mahan & Zach Johnson

Sergio Garcia & Rory McIlroy vs. Rickie Fowler & Jimmy Walker

Graeme McDowell & Victor Dubuisson vs. Phil Mickelson & Keegan Bradley
