The Ryder Cup trophy today arrived at Gleneagles ahead of the biennial contest between Europe and USA later this month.
The trophy touched down at the Perthshire golf course via helicopter after a tour visiting golf clubs all over Scotland in the past week.
The flight in was delayed by fog and tournament director Edward Kitson is confident that they can handle any erratic weather when the two teams collide at the end of the month.
"Obviously we would prefer it to be a gloriously sunny throughout and as an event that makes it so much easier," PA quotes him as saying.
"At previous Ryder Cups we have had challenges with wind and rain and some tornadoes but we've had a good couple of weeks up here in Scotland, the weather has been very kind.
"We do have contingencies in place, should we have any delays due to fog we can take that on board and can make up time for matches."
The contest takes place between September 26 and September 28.
