Stephen Gallacher has admitted that he was delighted to card an opening round of one-under-par on his debut at The Masters.
The Scot was in second at one stage on Thursday, before being forced to settle for a round of 71 due to mistakes on the back nine, which left him three shots behind leader Bill Haas at Augusta.
"I was quite happy to play a decent front nine, hit it where I was trying to hit it and played it perfectly to be honest," Gallacher told Sky Sports News.
"I hit one poor drive at 10, played 11 and 12 the way I wanted to and all of a sudden I was level. But I was happy to get it up and down at the last to stay in the red."
Gallacher, who won the Dubai Desert Classic earlier this year, is currently 38th in the world rankings.
