Japanese golfer Ryo Ishikawa has accepted a special invitation to play in the Masters.
The 20-year-old, who is currently ranked 53rd in the world, has competed in the last three tournaments at Augusta National Golf Club, finishing tied for 20th last year.
Billy Payne, Chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament, said that Ishikawa has been invited to help boost interest throughout Asia.
"Historically, the Masters has invited international players not otherwise qualified to expand the Tournament's global reach," said Payne.
"Ryo Ishikawa is an accomplished player on the Japan Golf Tour, and we believe his presence will help increase interest not only in his home country, but also throughout Asia."
Ishikawa has nine victories to his name, which have all come on the Japan Golf Tour.
