Defending champion Lee Westwood has ended the first round of the Malaysian Open at the top of the leaderboard alongside Graeme McDowell.
Both players hit seven birdies on the Kuala Lumpur course and suffered just one bogey in six-under 66 rounds.
Englishman Tommy Fleetwood is the closest challenger to the duo after ending his round a shot off the pace following five birdies, two of which came on the penultimate and final holes.
Danny Chia and Kang Sung-hoon also secured five-under rounds, while Ryder Cup-winning captain Paul McGinley finished the round three shots behind leaders Westwood and McDowell.
The Irishman stormed out of the gates with three consecutive birdies, but hit two bogeys along the way which dropped him down the leaderboard.
