Canada's Sidney Crosby: 'It is another opportunity to win gold'

Canada captain Sidney Crosby says that he is looking forward to leading his side to the gold medal in the men's ice hockey in Sochi.

Canada captain Sidney Crosby believes that his side deserve to be in the final of the men's ice hockey at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

The North American team got the better of the USA 1-0 in the semi-finals in Sochi on Friday.

"It is another opportunity," AFP quotes the 26-year-old centre as saying. "We all worked hard a long time to get to play in the gold medal game."

Jamie Benn, who scored the winner in the second period, added: "We wanted to stay on them and control the play in their end.

"When we did turn it over, we were on them right away. We found a way to win."

Canada will take on Sweden in the final on Sunday.
