Kevin-Prince Boateng hopes that football sees "more people and more countries" involved in its daily running to fight against racism.

AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has said that football needs a "black Mourinho" in its fight against racism.

The Ghanaian believes that it would help the game combat the issue if people from black and ethnic minority assume more positions of power.

"If it's more multi-cultural, it gets more people and more countries involved and these things can help," he told BBC Sport.

"Let's hope that soon there's going to be a black [Jose] Mourinho and Pakistani [Pep] Guardiola."

Boateng was appointed by FIFA as the first member of its anti-discrimination taskforce on Friday.
