An outspoken critic of Russian president Vladimir Putin has called on Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to be punished due to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.
Alexey Navalny, who is currently under house arrest, has spoken out about Russia's annexation of Crimea by claiming that Putin should be sanctioned by the US and British governments.
Navalny is said to have claimed in the New York Times that Putin's "inner circle", including Abramovich and Arsenal shareholder Alisher Usmanov, should also face sanctions.
Abramovich took over at Stamford Bridge in 2003.
