Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has given teammate Santi Cazorla the nickname 'Maradona' following their victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
The Spaniard was named man of the match and scored the fourth as the Gunners recorded a 5-2 victory in the North London derby at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
After the match, Wilshere suggested that the 27-year-old should be given the name of either Lionel Messi or Diego Maradona.
Asked if the Arsenal players had come up with a nickname for their new talisman, Wilshere said: "Not yet. Maybe it should be Messi!"
Former Malaga man Cazorla was dubbed 'Paquirrin' (Fat Boy) in Spain because of his resemblance to a celebrity who goes by the same moniker.
When this was pointed out to Wilshere, he said: "Maradona then."
