UEFA has confirmed that all Champions League and Europa League matches next week will observe a minute's silence in memory of the people who died in the Colombia plane crash.
The charter jet carrying players from Brazilian team Chapecoense, along with club officials and journalists, to Medellin for their Copa Sudamericana final match against Colombian side Atletico Nacional came down late on Monday night.
As well as 19 players, the Serie A outfit lost manager Caio Junior and the coaching staff in a tragic accident that resulted in the deaths of 76 people in total.
UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin said in a statement: "European football is united in expressing its deepest sympathy to Chapecoense, the Brazilian football confederation, CONMEBOL and the families of all the victims following this week's air disaster.
"This tragedy has shaken the world of football, and we would like to send our support to all of those affected by it."
As well as the footballers and non-playing staff, the majority of the cabin crew and 20 journalists died in the crash.
