Patrick Bamford reveals Chelsea's 34 loaned players share WhatsApp group

Patrick Bamford reveals that Chelsea's 34 loaned players share a WhatsApp group and it keeps draining his phone battery.

Patrick Bamford has revealed that Chelsea's 34 loaned players all share a chat group on instant messaging service WhatsApp.

The 22-year-old, who is currently on loan at Crystal Palace, is part of a large selection of Chelsea players who are on temporary spells at other clubs.

In order to keep track of everyone's progress, the 34 loan players share a WhatsApp group, which Bamford says drains his phone battery.

"We've actually got a Chelsea loan WhatsApp group," The Independent quotes Bamford as saying. "The loan department set it up. Sometimes it drains your battery when everyone is messaging each other.

"If someone does something special at the weekend, one of the computer technology guys from the loan department will send it all out after the weekend."

The number of Chelsea's players out on loan is more than double that of any other Premier League club.
