NBA slams "offensive" Cleveland Cavaliers vid suggesting domestic violence

The NBA slams the Cleveland Cavaliers for releasing an arena video that shows a male fan throwing his girlfriend to the ground as it 'makes light' of domestic violence.

The NBA has described the Cleveland Cavaliers' arena video as "inappropriate and offensive" as it 'makes light' of domestic violence.

In the clip, a male Cavaliers fan throws his girlfriend to the floor when he discovers that she supports the Chicago Bulls.

The video received widespread criticism and now the NBA has stepped in to condemn it.

A spokesman for the association told TMZ: "We agree with the Cavaliers that the video shown was inappropriate and offensive.

"We spoke to the team earlier today to convey our disappointment. Anything that makes light of violence of any sort has no place in our league or society."

The video has since been taken down from the Cavaliers' website.
