Australian press mock England's cricket WAGs

The Australian press mock England's wives and girlfriends before the tourists succumb to defeat in the opening Ashes test.

The Australian press have continued taunting England's cricketers by hitting out at their wives and girlfriends.

The tourists have had a poor start to the return Ashes series Down Under by losing the first Test in Brisbane by 381 runs.

Instead of just criticising the players' form on the field, the Sunday Mail turned to the WAGs before Australia's Test win by saying: "Poms can't bat, can't bowl and...even our WAGs are hotter," according to the Daily Mail.

England will have to see out the remainder of the series without batsman Jonathan Trott, who has flown home due to a stress-related illness.
