Liverpool's Raheem Sterling: "I don't think I'm famous"

Raheem Sterling insists that he doesn't consider himself famous, despite making headlines on the field with Liverpool this season.

Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling has insisted that he doesn't consider himself famous following his launch into the Reds' first team.

The 18-year-old, who has become a regular under manager Brendan Rodgers, has claimed that his family will always keep him grounded.

"I don't think I'm famous," Sterling told the Daily Mail. "I suppose a few people know me, but it's not changed me. I will always be the same Raheem.

"I have good friends and family who will knock me if they start to think I have changed. But I don't think I will. I have always been a humble kid."

Sterling, who earned his first senior England cap last year, recently penned a new long-term deal at Anfield.
