A copy of Roy Keane's first Manchester United contract from 1993 has been put up for sale on eBay, despite no concrete proof that the documents are real.

The papers available include a four-page contract signed by Keane, former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and chairman Martin Edwards, as well as a seven-page document detailing the Irishman's earnings.

The seller responded to a fellow eBay user asking about the contract's authenticity by saying: "The item is genuine, I can assure you, but there is no certificate of authenticity because it's a case of 'finder's keepers'. If Roy Keane knocked on my door tomorrow and asked for it back, I'd have to give it to him!"

The highest bid sits at £2,250, with seven days of the auction remaining.
