New Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal reportedly has strict table rules that his players need to obey during mealtimes.

The Dutchman, who will take charge at Old Trafford after coaching the Netherlands at next month's World Cup in Brazil, is said to ensure that all players eat lunch together.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the 62-year-old is known to order his teams to sit up straight during meals and regularly inspects his players to make sure that they are not slouching while at the dinner table.

Van Gaal has replaced David Moyes in the United hotseat after the Scotsman lasted less than 10 months in charge.
