Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger will reportedly receive a warning from the Magpies over his use on Twitter.
The 21-year-old sparked controversy on the social networking site by criticising the club's supporters following Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Reading.
It is understood that the club will speak to the controversial forward and remind him of their guidelines when it comes to tweeting, according to the Shields Gazette.
It is unclear whether Ranger will face any disciplinary action from the Premier League outfit.
