Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone is being sued for £250m from German bank BayernLB following the sale of its shares back in 2006.

Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone is facing a £250m lawsuit after a German bank launched proceedings against the billionaire.

BayernLB are suing Ecclestone following the sales of some of their shares back to the company that owns F1 in 2006.

"I'm not worried," said the 81-year-old. "I'm aggravated with the nonsense. I hope [I don't go to jail]. I wouldn't complain about German prisons but I'd rather not be in anywhere to be honest."

The news comes just days before this Sunday's Indian Grand Prix.
