Eight-division boxing world champion Manny Pacquiao reportedly had to borrow money to help those affected by the typhoon in his homeland of the Philippines.
The 34-year-old's bank accounts are said to have been frozen due to a tax dispute with the Philippine revenue authorities.
It has been claimed that Pacquiao has not paid tax on the money he made from his win over Oscar de la Hoya in 2008 and his victory over Ricky Hatton a year later.
It is understood that Pacquiao returned to the Philippines with £14,000 worth of borrowed money, according to the Daily Mail.
The typhoon, which hit the country earlier this month, resulted in the deaths of more than 5,200 people.
