Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that he is unable to make everyone like him but insists he will try to please the majority.
The former Manchester United winger was speaking ahead of last night's Ballon d'Or ceremony, where Barcelona's Lionel Messi pipped the Portugal captain to the honour for the fourth time.
"People either love me or hate me," ESPN quotes Ronaldo as saying. "Not even God is capable of pleasing everyone. This is part of my journey, part of my personality. I will try to make it so that the majority of people like me."
Ronaldo came second to Messi, while Barcelona playmaker Andres Iniesta nabbed the third spot.
