Steven Defour greeted by decapitated head banner from Standard Liege fans

Standard Liege fans unfurl a banner displaying Steven Defour's decapitated head upon his return to the stadium with Anderlecht.

Anderlecht midfielder Steven Defour returned to face his former club Standard Liege at the weekend and was welcomed with a banner showing his decapitated head.

The 26-year-old left Standard to join Porto back in 2011 and after spending three years in Portugal, the midfielder returned to Belgium by signing for Anderlecht in the summer of 2014.

Prior to Sunday's kickoff, the Standard fans unveiled a huge banner, which carried the message 'Red or Dead' alongside an image of an executioner holding Defour's severed head.

It went from bad to worse for the midfielder as he was sent off in the second half of the match, which ended in a 2-0 defeat for his side.
