Four-time Olympic champion Simone Biles has claimed that she was sexually abused by former Team USA gymnastics sports doctor Larry Nassar.
The disgraced doctor, who is currently serving a 60-year prison sentence for having child pornography on his computer, has been accused by three gymnasts of sexual assault.
Gabby Douglas, who has won three Olympic golds, is one of the athletes to accuse Nassar, and now 20-year-old Biles has revealed that she was also a victim.
In a lengthy statement on Twitter, Biles wrote: "Most of you know me as a happy, giggly and energetic girl. But lately I've felt broken and the more I try to shut off the voice in my head the louder it screams. I am not afraid to tell my story any more. I too am one of the many survivors that was sexually abused by Larry Nassar."
The gymnast added that she has to "continually return to the same training facility where I was abused".
