President Barack Obama has asked Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy for advice on how the USA national team can reach the heights of Spain at the World Cup.
The political figures met at the White House in Washington this week, but the conversation eventually turned to football, which Obama claims is growing in popularity in the States.
According to the Daily Mail, Obama said: "The United States is rapidly improving. So I asked for some advice on football so we can win the same title."
While Rajoy said that he would give Obama his guidance, he joked that the USA will not finish above Spain, who are the reigning world and European champions.
