Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer news and rumours, including Niclas Fullkrug to Juventus, Julio Soler to Bournemouth and Ruben Vargas to Sevilla.

West Ham United striker Niclas Fullkrug has reportedly emerged as a January target for Serie A giants Juventus.

The 31-year-old only joined the Hammers from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, but has suffered with injury setbacks and the poor form of the team across the board.

An Achilles injury kept Fullkrug out for around three months, meaning he has struggled to make much of an impact at the London Stadium, with his two goals for the club both coming as consolations in bruising defeats against Leicester City and Manchester City.

Therefore, Sky Sport in Italy claim that Juventus, a club who were showing interest in the player during the summer, are set to make an enquiry for the striker, with the Old Lady struggling for depth in attack due to the long-term injury troubles of Arkadiusz Milik.

Juve have made an underwhelming start under new manager Thiago Motta, sitting down in fifth after 18 games despite still being unbeaten in Serie A, but 11 draws across those matches leave them 12 points off leaders Napoli.

Possible Kerkez replacement in the pipeline for Bournemouth

Meanwhile, Bournemouth are believed to be on the verge of completing the signing of Argentine youngster Julio Soler from Lanus.

The 19-year-old is the current captain of the Argentina Under-20 side, and enjoyed a breakout year during 2024, becoming a regular in the Lanus first team at left-back, and representing his country at the Olympics.

Sky Sports News are reporting that a deal has been swiftly agreed between the two clubs, and Soler has arrived in the UK for a medical, which should take place today.

The fee for the player is set to be in the region of £11.5m including add-ons, and he could well be the long-term replacement for the highly-sought-after Milos Kerkez.

Kerkez has been attracting interest from many clubs, including the likes of Liverpool, following his excellent start to the campaign in a Bournemouth side that is fighting for Europe in the Premier League under Andoni Iraola.

Vargas to end Augsburg struggles

Elsewhere on the continent, Swiss international Ruben Vargas is reportedly edging closer to making a move to Spanish club Sevilla.

The Augsburg winger, now in his sixth season at the club, has been bogged down by injuries during this campaign so far, resulting in him losing his place in the starting XI.

Vargas was the star man in Switzerland's 2-0 win over Italy in the last 16 of the Euros during the summer, scoring and assisting Remo Freuler to sink the Azzurri, but this season's form is threatening his place in the national team, with no goals or assists in his eight Bundesliga appearances.

Therefore, it could be time for a move, and Florian Plettenberg claims that Augsburg and Sevilla are working to get a deal done this month, with Borussia Monchengladbach also keeping a close eye on the player's future.

The report states that negotiations are ongoing and progressing well, with a deal expected to be worth roughly €1.5m (£1.25m) on course to go through during this window.
