The verdict of an investigation into offensive text messages sent by Wigan Athletic manager Malky Mackay has been delayed, according to reports.
Mackay and former colleague Iain Moody were accused of sending racist, sexist, homophobic and anti-Semitic messages to each other during their time together at Cardiff City, which prompted the Football Association to open an investigation last August.
However, the Daily Mail reports that new information was handed to the FA at the end of January, which has forced the investigators to review the case.
The report says that the investigation may now not be concluded until the end of the season.
The FA will release a statement this week to explain the delay.
