The much-fancied Sprinter Sacre won the Racing Post Arkle Challenge Trophy at the Cheltenham Festival this afternoon.
Under jockey Barry Geraghty, Sprinter Sacre capitalised on a jumping mistake from Al Ferof to take the lead with three fences remaining.
The error cost Al Ferof a place in the top three, with Cue Card finishing second and Menorah taking third spot.
For Sprinter Sacre's trainer Nicky Henderson, the victory marked his 40th at Cheltenham.
The Arkle Trophy was the second race of the day, the first being won by Cinders and Ashes.
