Frankel's team have said that they are "very positive" that the unbeaten horse will run at Ascot this afternoon.
The 14-time winner is set to race in the Champions Stakes in what is expected to be his swansong outing before retirement.
Fears were raised that the ground at Ascot may be too heavy for Frankel but there was no rain overnight and owner Khalid Abdullah's racing manager, Teddy Grimthorpe, walked the track this morning.
He told Sky Sports News: "We are very positive about the whole thing.
"You have to go through all the correct motions.
"From what I've been told, it's going to be okay."
The going is officially soft on the straight course.
