Peter Gentle pleased with Hull turnaround

Hull coach Peter Gentle is pleased with side's performance as they end a run of four straight defeats with a win over Huddersfield.

Hull coach Peter Gentle was pleased with the resilience that his side showed as they ended their recent bad run in the Super League with a 28-24 victory over Huddersfield Giants.

Without a win in their last four matches, two late tries from Kirk Yeaman sealed a vital triumph for the Black and Whites at the KC Stadium.

"It was very pleasing," Gentle told Sky Sports News. "Probably the most pleasing aspect was that we found a way to win.

"We've been rolled over in the last 10 minutes so many times this year so it was good to actually dig in. You could see the desperation that has been missing.

"I'm proud of the boys. You could see we wanted it. It was quite scrappy at times but we'll take the two points."

The win has kept Hull seventh in the Super League table while Huddersfield remain fifth.
