Jamie Peacock has claimed that Leeds Rhinos teammate Kallum Watkins could become the greatest British centre in rugby league history.
The 24-year-old has scored 11 tries in 19 games for the Rhinos this season to help them reach the top of the Super League table.
Peacock believes that Watkins should be named the player of the year due to a string of important performances for Leeds.
"He could be the best British centre we've had if he continues the way he's going," he told BBC Sport. "For me he's the Man of Steel this year, he's playing as well as Jamie Lyon was that season he won the Man of Steel."
Leeds are back in Super League action on Thursday when they will travel to Wigan Warriors.
