Salford Red Devils comfortably beat London Broncos

Salford Red Devils defeat London Broncos 44-18 at the Hive Stadium to inflict a second-successive heavy-defeat on their opponents.

London Broncos have fallen to their second-successive defeat of the Super League season, losing 44-18 against Salford Red Devils at the Hive Stadium.

Scott Moore opened the scoring courtesy of a 12th-minute try for the hosts, before Tony Gigot kicked over for the extras.

The Salford charge began shortly after, however, as Harrison Hansen crossed the line twice along with Danny Williams to soon swing the game strongly in the visitors' favour.

Francis Meli kicked over two of the three conversions to further cement the advantage, although the Red Devils weren't finished there.

Theo Fages and Tim Smith edged over within three minutes of each other at the end of the first half to put the league's bottom side in 2013 into a commanding position.

Meli edged over for a try of his own with 66 minutes played, and Fages found the try line for his second of the afternoon and Salford's eighth.

Replacement George Griffin made the scoreline more respectable with his try late on, and Mike McMeeken closed the gap further in the dying seconds with Bronco's third try of the contest, although it did not prevent a second-successive heavy defeat.
