Wigan Warriors rout Hull FC with 36-point win

Wigan Warriors beat Hull FC 48-12 to move level with Leeds Rhinos at the top of the Super League.

Wigan Warriors moved level with Leeds Rhinos at the Super League summit with a 48-12 rout away to Hull FC tonight.

Converted tries from Joe Burgess and John Bateman helped the Warriors into a 14-0 lead, before Richard Whiting helped halve the deficit on the 20-minute mark.

However, the onslaught continued as George Williams and Sam Powell crossed to open up a 24-6 half-time lead as Shaun Wane's side looked in cruise control.

Wigan picked up where they left off as Matty Bowen and Sam O'Loughlin touched down, before Bowen crossed again after Joe Westerman had restored a sliver of respectability to the scoreline.

Dom Crosby ensured a 36-point margin at full time with another converted effort on 78 minutes as Wane's men moved level with Leeds.
