Wigan Warriors comeback stuns Warrington Wolves

Wigan Warriors sign off on their Super League campaign by coming from 18-4 down to beat Warrington Wolves 24-20 at the DW Stadium.

Wigan Warriors produced a rousing second-half comeback to beat Warrington Wolves 24-20 at the DW Stadium in their final Super League game of the regular season.

Shaun Wane's side looked out of it at the interval as Wolves stormed into a commanding 18-4 half-time lead.

However, Josh Charnley touched down twice in a second half that spawned four tries from the hosts as the Warriors head into the playoffs with a confidence boost.

Wigan got off to a good start as Joe Burgess crossed over on six minutes, but a three-try blitz soon negated that advantage as Joel Monaghan went over twice, either side of another from Richie Myler.

Burgess minimised the 14-point deficit five minutes into the second half, before a double from Charnley in a 10-minute spell helped Wigan move to within touching distance of completing the comeback.

Wane's troops then moved four points clear on 66 minutes, as Blake Green went over before Matty Smith added his second conversion of the night.
