Ireland centre Jared Payne has been ruled out of Saturday's clash with Australia in Dublin due to a foot injury.
The 29-year-old missed last weekend's 49-7 thrashing of Georgia after suffering the problem during his country's surprise win over South Africa the previous week.
Payne trained with his international teammates on Tuesday, but he was sent back to club Ulster after experiencing some discomfort in his foot.
Meanwhile, Rory Best is in contention to feature for Ireland against the Wallabies following a calf problem for the hooker.
