Stephen Myler kicks Northampton Saints to win

Stephen Myler kicks six penalties to lead Northampton Saints to a 25-20 win over Saracens in the Aviva Premiership.

A string of late penalties from Stephen Myler gave Northampton Saints a 25-20 win over Saracens in the Aviva Premiership this afternoon.

The champions found themselves trailing early on as Chris Wyles scored two tries in the opening 15 minutes for Saracens, overturning a couple of penalties from the Northampton fly-half.

Samu Manoa kept the home side in the match at half time, adding Northampton's only try to leave Saints just two points adrift at the end of the first 40 minutes.

Saracens' only points of the second half came just a few minutes after the restart as Charlie Hodgson added his second penalty of the afternoon.

Northampton struggled to create try-scoring opportunities, but a run of errors from the visitors allowed Myler to add 12 points with the boot in the final 25 minutes and clinch the win for his side.

The result keeps Saints at the top of the table, while Saracens stay third.
