Toulouse record historic victory over Glasgow Warriors

Toulouse edge out Glasgow Warriors 19-11 at Stade Ernest-Wallon to record their 100th victory in Europe's elite competition.

Toulouse have racked up their 100th victory in Europe's premier competition having seen off Glasgow Warriors 19-11 at Stade Ernest-Wallon this evening.

In what was a tightly-contested first half between Pool Four's top two sides, it was the hosts who edged ahead when Sebastien Bezy split the sticks with 20 minutes played.

Finn Russell levelled up the game in an identical manner, although the Scotland international was shown a yellow card soon after due to a dangerous challenge, and Toulouse were able to capitalise by adding two more successful penalties to their tally.

The first try of the clash eventually came four minutes after the interval, when Maxime Medard made the most of a lovely kick through to cross over.

Russell reduced the deficit from the boot, but ill discipline cost Glasgow once more with Leone Nakarawa sent to the sin bin.

The game looked to be beyond the Scottish outfit when Bezy found the sticks for the fourth time, yet Nikola Matawalu added some late hope having crossed over following a solid break from the visitors.

Toulouse were able to see out the remainder of the contest to record the historic victory, however, maintaining their unbeaten start to this year's competition in the process.
