Team Wales swimmer Jemma Lowe has claimed that she did not fall victim to nerves before today's 100m butterfly heat at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
The 24-year-old, who won a bronze medal in this event at the Delhi 2010 Games, qualified for tonight's semi-finals at Tollcross after finishing second in her heat with a time of 58.61s.
"I wasn't too nervous, no," Lowe told Sports Mole. "I felt like I was a little bit late, I was rushing, but as soon as I got in there, my heat was going out so I didn't have time to think. It was nice this morning to walk out to a big crowd!"
Wales have been handed a six-medal target in swimming.
