Roger Federer has said that his Grand Slam hoodoo over Andy Murray will mean nothing when they meet in the semi-final of the Australian Open.
It will be the fourth time the pair have met in a Grand Slam, with the Swiss emerging triumphant on each occasion.
However, it is the first time that they will take on each other in the semi-finals.
Federer defeated Murray to win the US Open in 2008, before dashing his dreams at the Australian Open in 2010 and at Wimbledon last year.
The 31-year-old says that Murray has shown that he is capable of beating him "so many times" before.
"I don't go into it with a mindset that I've never lost to him in Slams," said Federer. "He's beaten me so many times. He's beaten me more times than I've beaten him.
"But I'm happy you've given me the positive news. It's a good vibe. I'll try to remember that when I walk out, but it doesn't play a huge role for me."
Murray holds a 10-9 record over Federer.
