Two-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray has claimed that Great Britain need to be on top form in order to beat France in the Davis Cup quarter-finals.
Murray, Jamie Ward, Dom Inglot and Jamie Murray will face the calibre of Gilles Simon, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Richard Gasquet and Nicolas Mahut in the showdown, which begins on Friday.
In his BBC Sport column, Murray wrote: "It's the second year running that Britain have made the World Group quarter-finals in the Davis Cup, so I think we've proved we belong at this level.
"They're all quality players [in the France team] and it will be extremely tough to beat them - everybody has to play at the top of their game if we're going to win."
Murray heads into the tournament following his semi-final defeat to Roger Federer at Wimbledon last week.
