David Ferrer has booked a place in the third round of the Paris Masters by securing a 6-0 2-6 6-3 victory over Lukas Rosol.
The Spaniard took control of the clash in the early stages by snatching a break of serve at the first time of asking, immediately putting Rosol on the back foot.
Ferrer continued his dominance and wrapped up the first set with Rosol failing to get a single game on the board, leaving him with a mountain to climb.
However, he did manage to respond by nabbing an early break in the second set and committing some impressive shots across the court to get back into the clash.
After taking the second set, the decider initially went by the way of serve, but it was Ferrer who took advantage by taking the first break point.
While Rosol looked like he could launch a comeback by holding his service games, he could not do enough to make up for losing the break, and Ferrer wrapped up the match to progress into the next round.
