Feliciano Lopez has advanced through to the third round of the Paris Masters with a straight-sets victory over Gael Monfils.
In a cagey affair, the Spaniard defeated his French opponent 6-3 6-4.
The loss has put Monfils out of contention for the ATP World Tour finals later this month.
Lopez will now face American John Isner fo a place in the quarter-finals.
