Laura Robson has backed up her US Open heroics by becoming the first British woman to reach a WTA final since Jo Durie in 1990.
The 18-year-old defeated Romania's Sorana Cirstea in straight sets to book a clash with Hsieh Su-Wei of Taiwan, who defeated Urszula Radwanska - younger sister of Agnieszka - 6-1 3-6 6-0.
Robson equalled the best performance by a British woman since Sam Smith at Wimbledon in 1998 when she lost out to Samantha Stosur in the fourth round at Flushing Meadows earlier this month.
Now she has the opportunity to become the first British woman to win a WTA event since Sara Gomer triumphed in the 1988 Northern California Open.
