Persistent rain in New York has led to play on day nine at the US Open being brought to a premature end.
After play had been suspended on four occasions during Tuesday evening, the decision was made to abandon all ongoing matches at around 2.45am on Wednesday morning (UK time).
Home favourite Andy Roddick currently leads seventh seed Juan Martin del Potro 1-0 in a first-set tie-break, while Maria Sharapova will resume 4-0 down in the first set against Marion Bartoli.
Elsewhere, Novak Djokovic leads Stanislas Wawrinka 2-0 in the opening set and Janko Tipsarevic is close to claiming the first set against Philipp Kohlschreiber, leading 5-2 and at deuce on the German's serve.
