Andy Murray says that he must not be overwhelmed against Roger Federer in the Wimbledon final.

Andy Murray has said that he must not be overwhelmed by the occasion when he takes to Centre Court to play Roger Federer in the Wimbledon final.

The Scot is aiming to become the first Britsh man to win a Grand Slam title since Fred Perry in 1936.

"If I look upon it as the Wimbedon final and think about no Brit winning it for however long and there's this many people watching, I'm going to play crap," The Mirror quotes Murray as saying.

"It is one of the biggest matches of my life, but I don't want to think about winning it or getting ahead of myself. If I do, it will ruin my chances.

"I am not going to be overwhelmed by history. I need to focus on it as a tennis match against Roger Federer, somebody I have won against before."

Murray has twice been beaten by Federer in a Grand Slam final.
