Elise Christie aiming for perfection

Great Britian's Elise Christie admits that she is hoping to hone her craft to become the "perfect speed skater" in the future.

British speed skater Elise Christie has revealed that she has been spending time trying to improve her tactical approach ahead of the European Short Track Speed Skating Championship.

Christie suffered disappointment at last year's Winter Olympics in Sochi, but ahead of the event in Dordrecht, the Scot has admitted that she is striving to become the "perfect speed skater" over the next two years.

The 24-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "I've been taking a step back from the physical side of training to concentrate more on tactics.

"Hopefully next year or the year after, the two will mould together and I can become the perfect speed skater."

Christie will attempt to defend her 1,000m title in the Netherlands, as well as competing in the 500m.
