Jenny Jones to miss Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships

Olympic bronze medallist Jenny Jones will not feature at the Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships in Austria later this month.

British snowboarder Jenny Jones will not take part at the upcoming Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships in Austria.

Last year, Jones became the first British athlete to win an Olympic medal on snow when she took bronze in the slopestyle final in Sochi.

However, the 34-year-old's name was missing from a 22-strong squad that will compete in Kreischberg between January 14 and January 25.

Despite Jones's absence, the group still contains several Olympians, with Jamie Nicholls, Aimee Fuller, Billy Morgan, Zoe Gillings-Brier and Katie Summerhayes all competing at the event.
